Filare il filo del pensiero a partire da un confuso ammasso di pensieri e intuizioni

Torcerlo e ritorcerlo fino a dargli compattezza e robustezza

Avvolgerlo in matasse sull'arcolaio della mente e poi aggomitolarlo intorno a quel gomitolo che può apparire il cervello con le sue volute come se si lavorasse la lana o il lino è un dare al pensiero forma, senso e struttura

Ma anche il processo di ridurre gli eventi a una successione logica alla sottigliezza di un filo è ciò che ci permette di dare forma, senso e struttura alla vita

Seguire il filo ci consente di non perderci nel labirinto dei pensieri come nel labirinto della vita.

Spin the thread of thought starting from a confused mass of thoughts and intuitions 

twist it and twist it until it's compact and robust

Wrapping it in skeins on the spinning wheel of the mind and then winding it up around that ball of yarn that might be the brain with its scrolls as if working with wool or linen is a way of giving thought shape, meaning and structure

But also the process of reducing events to a logical succession to the subtlety of a thread is what allows us to give shape, meaning and structure to life 

Following the thread allows us not to get lost in the labyrinth of thoughts as in the labyrinth of life
